Succinct completed the verification pilot of World Chain, paving the way for it to become a ZK Rollup.
PANews June 13 news, according to The Block, zero-knowledge proof technology company Succinct announced the completion of a 7-day validation pilot on the World Chain Mainnet, paving the way for this Ethereum Layer2 network supported by Sam Altman to transition to ZK Rollup. The pilot used 800 GPUs to run Succinct's OP Succinct system, verifying the legality of all transactions and blocks, and reducing the cross-chain final confirmation time from 7 days to 1 hour. Succinct's co-founder stated that this pilot demonstrates that ZK technology is ready for large-scale production environment applications. This project lays the foundation for World Chain to achieve complete Decentralization in the future, allowing it to transition from operator governance to smart contracts control. The two parties plan to adopt Succinct's next-generation zkVM system SP1 Hypercube for the next pilot.
