Don't remind me again today

Here’s a real case I’d like to share: Last year, I helped a newbie friend get his strategy straight. He only had 900 USDT, but in two months, he grew it to just over 10,000, and now he has more than 50,000 sitting in his account. He never got liquidated, and there’s nothing mystical about it—he just mastered three simple methods.

I personally worked my way up from a 2,000 starting balance using this approach. The core is three main moves—each one needs to be done solidly.

**First, how to break down your position**. Don’t go all in with 900 USDT. You need to split it into three parts: The first 300 USDT is just for day trading—focus on one trade at a time, get in, take profit, and get out. Never get greedy. The second 300 USDT is for swing trades—it might sit there for ten days or half a month, but when you make a move, you need to catch a big trend. The last 300 USDT is your lifeline—never touch it, no matter what. Many people lose everything by going all in, and then they don’t even get a chance to review and learn.

**Next, when should you act**. 80% of the time in crypto is just sideways movement. Messing around during consolidation is just giving money to the market. You need to learn to wait, and only enter when there’s a real trend—once you hit your target profit, cash out. Don’t try to catch the entire move. If you make more than 20% on your principal, withdraw 30% of the profit right away. This is discipline, not cowardice. People who really make money know: you don’t have to trade every day—the key is making it count when you do.

**Finally, the golden rules for execution**. If you lose 2%, you must cut your losses. If you gain 4%, take some profits. Never add to a losing position to average down—these rules are set in stone, don’t let your emotions interfere. In the end, making money is about letting your system run automatically, not panicking and overtrading.

Having a small principal isn’t the problem—the problem is hoping for a big win in one go. Growing 900 USDT to 50,000 USDT isn’t about luck; it’s about managing risk tightly and letting profits grow steadily. If you’re still losing sleep over a few hundred bucks swinging up and down, or you can’t figure out when to enter or how to allocate your positions, you need to stop and rework your logic—how to split positions, how to spot trend signals, how to manage your emotions. Get these basics down, and you’ll save yourself three years of detours.

You're right, it takes discipline. I used to be all over the place, but now I understand.

That's right, but the worry is that those people will still go all-in after hearing this. Very few people can really stick to such discipline.

Damn, seriously? Turned 900U into over 10,000 in two months? Why do I feel like I've just been losing money all along?

That makes sense. The key really is discipline, not trying to make money every day.

That's right, just afraid I can't control myself.
