BlackRock's IBIT holdings expanded by 14%, accelerating institutional investors' Bitcoin investments.

Source: DigitalToday Original Title: BlackRock Expands IBIT Holdings by 14%… Accelerates Bitcoin Investment Original Link: BlackRock is quietly increasing its investment allocation in Bitcoin(BTC).

BlackRock's 'Strategic Income Opportunities Fund' has increased its IBIT holdings by 14%, securing 2.39 million shares. This amounts to approximately $1.56 billion, with the increase occurring between June and September.

BlackRock's movements indicate a trend where traditional asset management firms are gradually expanding into the Bitcoin market. During the same period, Nasdaq ISE significantly raised the IBIT options open interest limit from 250,000 contracts to 1 million contracts. Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas described this as a “move that completely removed the hinge,” analyzing that IBIT has established itself as the world's largest Bitcoin options market.

In this context, JP Morgan has launched structured notes directly linked to IBIT. This product guarantees a minimum return of 16% if IBIT reaches a preset price by the end of 2026, essentially designing leveraged Bitcoin exposure for its clients.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin has recently rebounded, recovering to $90,000. It has fallen 29% from its peak in October, but this week it surpassed $90,000, providing relief to investors. IBIT has transitioned to an influx of funds, and the futures market has also turned bullish. Options traders are targeting prices above $100,000, suggesting that the market is moving away from the risk of decline. However, liquidity remains thin, and investor sentiment is unstable.

Bitcoin rebounded by 12% from last week's low of $80,000, but has decreased by 21% on a monthly basis. Ethereum also followed Bitcoin's trend, rising by 3% in 7 days and is trading around $3,027.

BlackRock's recent moves are really impressive, pretending to be nonchalant while secretly increasing the position in BIT, adding 1.56 billion USD just like that, this is not the style of traditional asset management.

BlackRock is secretly stockpiling again, haha. Is the institutional battle getting serious?

BlackRock's recent move has been so low-key, entering the market with $1.56 billion quietly. Institutions are really stealthily taking slices, while we retail investors are still here entangled in our thoughts. A 14% increase indicates that they will continue to increase the position, right? This is how TradFi operates, silently pouring in money.

BlackRock is secretly hoarding Bitcoin again, this rhythm... even traditional big players are starting to bet. It's different when institutions get on board, over 1.5 billion USD just like that, while we retail investors can only watch with envy. It seems that Bitcoin really needs to be held for the long term, as big funds are quietly laying out their plans.

Quietly? This isn't quiet, haha. Institutions are now really starting to move. $1.56 billion is a scale that can't be ignored, and this seems like just the beginning? If BlackRock is doing this, the other institutions will follow... Is the institutional competition starting? If it keeps stacking up like this until the next halving, it will be insane, I agree.

Large institutions are quietly buying the dip, this rhythm is interesting. --- Is Blackstone laying the groundwork for something? 1.56 billion USD just came in like that. --- Institutions are hoarding while retail investors are still hesitating, tsk tsk. --- So, following the big funds is definitely the right choice, now it's too late to realize. --- Don't mention it, I started entering a position long ago, just waiting for the institutions to catch a falling knife. --- When will a 14% increase appear in my account... --- The entry of traditional finance giants, is this favourable information or the prelude to playing people for suckers? --- Here we go again, I buy as soon as institutions enter, never missed. --- What does 2.4 million shares mean? Converted, this is a real cash bet.
