Everyone keeps preaching about user onboarding these days. But what kind of onboarding are we actually seeing?

Back in 2021, nobody was obsessing over onboarding metrics. Yet somehow, projects were casually pulling 9-figure transaction volumes week after week. Fast forward to now—"onboarding" became the buzzword, and what happened? On-chain volume tanked by roughly 10x. EVM chains? Basically running on fumes.

The irony is almost poetic. We're talking more about bringing people in, yet the numbers tell a completely different story. Maybe it's time to question whether the focus shifted to the wrong metrics, or if the market fundamentals just aren't there anymore.

Well said, this wave of sarcasm is maxed out... Always talking about onboarding, but on-chain activity actually collapsed by 10x? Truly absurd. --- Back in 2021, who cared about metrics? You could easily rake in nine-figure trading volumes. Now? All talk and no substance. --- So the current onboarding just means bringing in a bunch of zombie users? Wake up, the data speaks for itself. --- Wait, could it be that onboarding is just a smokescreen? The real problem isn't even here. --- EVM chains run on fumes—haha, that's the perfect way to put it, just barely surviving. --- The more they promote user growth, the worse it actually gets... Isn't this just covering up a fundamental collapse? --- I just want to know, for those projects hyping onboarding the most, what's their actual on-chain activity rate? Feels like it's all data fabrication. --- Yet another cycle ruined by buzzwords—a textbook case of irony. --- The metrics look good, but real usage has dropped by 10x. Who can accept that?

ngl this is exactly what happens when you optimize for optics instead of actual protocol sustainability... the adoption curve metrics everyone worships are basically cargo cult metrics at this point

Simply put, it's just an illusion of prosperity. Back in 2021, there was no need to talk about onboarding, and there were still ten-figure trading volumes. Now, people keep shouting about user acquisition, but the volume is plummeting. This logic is completely absurd.

To put it simply, everyone is hyping onboarding, but on-chain traffic is still declining. Doesn’t that logic just not add up?

To put it simply, everyone is just telling stories, but no one is looking at the on-chain data. This wave of onboarding is just like PPT fundraising—the concepts are hyped up, but trading volume is plummeting. Hilarious. In 2021, it was driven by real demand. Now, it’s all about storytelling... what a huge difference.

To be honest, back in 2021 no one was doing this at all, yet there was still a daily nine-figure trading volume... Now people keep shouting about onboarding every day, but the chain is almost dead, haha.

To put it bluntly, it's just old wine in a new bottle. In 2021, no one cared about onboarding and it still broke 9 digits, but now everyone's constantly talking about onboarding and the numbers have plummeted... This rhetoric is really something.
