【Block Rhythm】On January 9th, top venture capital firm a16z announced the completion of over $15 billion in new fundraising, marking its largest financing round in history.

The funds are distributed across multiple strategy funds: the American Dynamism fund received $1.176 billion, Apps fund $1.7 billion, Bio + Health fund $700 million, Infrastructure fund $1.7 billion, Growth fund $6.75 billion, and other venture capital strategy funds $3 billion.

What deserves more attention is a16z’s thinking about future layout. They explicitly stated that the mission of this batch of funds is to ensure America’s leading position in technological competition over the next hundred years——with crypto and AI listed as the most critical architectural domains.
