Media: Bank of China Hong Kong plans to apply for stablecoin issuance license

PANews, September 1st news, according to Zhitong Finance, Xinbao cited unnamed sources reporting that Bank of China Hong Kong plans to apply for a stablecoin issuer license and aims to become one of the first issuers to obtain the approved license. The deadline for the first batch of applications is the end of September. Both Bank of China Hong Kong and the Monetary Authority declined to comment.
