The Situation Room in the White House is a conference room and intelligence management center located in the basement of the West Wing of the White House, covering an area of approximately 460 square meters. Its primary purpose is to serve as a workspace for the National Security Council, which includes the President, Vice President, White House Chief of Staff, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Advisor, and others, to rapidly discuss and respond to domestic and international emergencies that concern U.S. national security. It is equipped with comprehensive and advanced secure communication facilities, allowing the President of the United States to control American military forces deployed around the world at any time.
