【Chain News】According to official news on June 25th, Aptos Labs, in collaboration with Jump Crypto, officially launched the high-performance, decentralized hot storage Shelby, specifically designed for Web3 real-time applications, suitable for scenarios such as streaming media, AI data, social platforms, and DePIN. This globally high-performance node, fiber backbone, and on-chain programmability architecture have read/write speeds and reliability comparable to cloud services, breaking through the limitations of traditional Web2 services, with capabilities such as sub-second response and pay-as-you-go billing. Currently, projects such as Story Protocol and Metaplex will be the first to access it to verify its real-time cross-chain interaction infrastructure potential. The Shelby Testnet is expected to go live in the fourth quarter of 2025, supporting multi-chain ecosystems including Aptos, Ethereum, Solana, and more.
