Cloud storage market has long been dominated by giants like AWS, with high costs and centralized failure risks troubling many project teams. Now there is a new option— a decentralized storage protocol based on Sui, which redefines storage methods through technological innovation.

The core innovation lies in its encoding system. Data is split into fragments and dispersed across a network of nodes. Even if two-thirds of the nodes go offline simultaneously, the system can still fully recover your data. Compared to traditional cloud backup solutions, this approach is more efficient and can reduce costs to a fraction.

But its potential doesn't stop there. This protocol makes storage programmable—users can customize data lifecycles, set up automatic deletion mechanisms, and even auction data access rights. As a result, storage is no longer just a passive tool but an active asset capable of generating value, making it especially suitable for NFT media libraries or on-chain historical archives.

From a security perspective, the Merkle proof mechanism ensures data authenticity. In terms of cost, users can lock in token value in advance, effectively hedging against price fluctuations.

Notably, it doesn't follow the route of Arweave's permanent storage but emphasizes flexibility and dynamic adaptation, particularly suitable for scenarios like AI datasets that require frequent updates. This could become a way for Web3 developers to break free from traditional cloud dependencies.

Nah, wait a minute. This fragmentation recovery mechanism sounds awesome, but in real scenarios, what's the probability that two-thirds of the nodes go down simultaneously... It feels a bit like overhype.

Wow, finally someone thought of using fragmented redundancy to take down AWS, this idea is brilliant.

Another new development in the Sui ecosystem, but this time it's quite interesting. Fragmented storage + Merkle proofs feel more flexible than Arweave's permanent storage, especially for AI datasets that require frequent updates.

Finally, someone has stood up to criticize AWS. The cost is indeed outrageous. But can the Sui ecosystem work? It still feels a bit like a gamble.
