Republican senators are considering setting the SALT deduction cap at $30,000 in search of a tax law compromise.

Republican senators are considering capping the state and local tax (SALT) credit at $30,000 as a compromise between the current law and Trump’s House version of the tax code, a key Republican negotiator said.
