Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world based in the US, announced that it has listed a new altcoin with an experimental label on its platform.

According to Coinbase’s official announcement, the altcoin named Spark (SPK) will be listed on the Coinbase platform. Users will be able to carry out SPK transfers through the Coinbase website and the Coinbase iOS and Android applications. It was announced that users can buy, sell, convert, send, receive, and store the SPK asset.

Coinbase stated that the SPK-USD trading pair will gradually be opened for trading if liquidity conditions are met. In this case, users will be able to start trading on the SPK-USD trading pair once sufficient liquidity is provided. However, at present, transactions have not yet fully started, and the necessary liquidity conditions are expected to be met for these transactions to commence. Additionally, it has been announced that there may be trading restrictions for SPK in some regions.

According to Coinbase’s statement, the SPK asset has been added to the list with the label “experimental”. This label is expressed as a warning indicating that users should be more cautious when trading this asset. When investing in assets labeled as “experimental”, users are emphasized to be aware of potential risks and to act accordingly. This statement particularly points out that such assets can be more volatile and carry greater risks.

According to Coinbase’s announcement, Spark (SPK) will be supported as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network, and the Ethereum contract address has been announced as 0xc20059e0317DE91738d13af027DfC4a50781b066.
