HK) announced that it was officially approved by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission on June 24 to upgrade its existing securities trading license to provide virtual asset trading services and related advice. After the upgrade, customers can trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as stablecoins such as USDT, directly on their platform. As a result, Guotai Junan International became the first Chinese brokerage firm in Hong Kong to provide a full range of virtual asset-related trading services, covering virtual asset trading, advisory and related product issuance and distribution. In recent years, the company has continued to expand its virtual asset business, including the launch of virtual asset ETF structured products, the development of trading platform agency business and digital bond issuance, etc., actively contributing to Hong Kong’s development into an international virtual asset center.
