Jen Stark isn’t your typical digital artist. This Miami-born, LA-based creator spent years mastering traditional mediums—painting, sculpture, laser-cut wood and metal—before diving into NFTs around 2021. And here’s the thing: her transition wasn’t about chasing hype. It was about finding a new canvas.

Stark’s work is instantly recognizable: psychedelic patterns, impossible geometries, and hypnotic color gradients that somehow feel natural. Why? Because they are. She draws inspiration directly from nature’s math—spirals of pi, fractal patterns, even warning colors in the animal kingdom. “I visualize the mathematical part of nature,” she explained, which is why a frog’s bright toxicity or a flower’s spiral can translate into mesmerizing digital loops.

Her NFT debut came with ‘Multiverse’ (a 1/1), where she translated her iconic pattern-driven style into an endless digital animation. Then came ‘Vortex’ with Art Blocks—1,000 generatively rotating kaleidoscopic pieces launched December 2021. Each one a collaboration between code and creativity.

But here’s what makes Stark different: she hasn’t abandoned her roots. The patterns you see in her NFTs are direct descendants of her paper-cut sculptures. The colors, the geometry, the obsessive detail—all consistent. When she launched ‘Cosmic Cuties’ in 2022 (333 items of smiling, wide-eyed creatures), Christie’s took notice, featuring her work in their July auction and inviting her to speak at their Art + Technology Summit.

Her advice to other artists? “Focus on what you love, keep working, persevere. People told me I couldn’t do it. I’m stubborn. I kept going. Follow your happiness.”
