[Chain News] Monad Labs co-founder Eunice Giarta recently had to urgently clarify a rumor. A meme coin called Anago has appeared on the market, trying to piggyback on the name of her French Bulldog. Giarta made it clear on social media: @AnagoBarks is her dog’s only real account, and they will never issue any coins or get involved with NFTs.
These days, scammers really dare to use anything. Even a pet dog can be used to launch a coin and scam people. Before you ape into any meme coins, make sure you thoroughly verify the project’s background yourself. Monad’s official team has already made their stance clear; any other tokens using the Anago name are most likely just out to collect an “IQ tax.”

I see this wave clearly. I have long said to be wary of these hype-driven alts. Those getting on board now are all being played for suckers. I warned about this kind of trick three years ago.

hypothesis: the memecoin parasitism phenomenon we're witnessing here mirrors the ancient oracle problem—where false prophets exploit信息不对称 to drain believers' capital. technically speaking, this anago situation is just another bridge too far from legitimacy.
