The idea about opening geographic location/country to the public of any account on X in my opinion not very healthy and here are certain things I think about them.

First and foremost opening the country detail opens the door to a whole new wave of racism (was so obvious) and it actually did. The kind of public we have on X and the kind of comments we get were already disrespectful enough for the people living in third world countries.

Secondly : There are certain stereotypes that the west has for the east or vice versa and then comes the "Oh you don't get to say a thing in America's politics or comment on India's culture" type things.

There are already genuine accounts who share a lot of fruitful information and spread knowledge worldwide and they get the most affected with this country biased thing. And now their comment section is filled with discriminating comments.
This is not decentralization. This is not what X stands for.
