Don't remind me again today

Malaysia's jumping on the digital age restriction train. Starting 2026, anyone under 16 won't be allowed to have social media accounts there. They're basically following Australia's playbook on this one. Looks like more governments are getting serious about keeping kids off these platforms—wonder how they'll actually enforce it though.

This operation in Malaysia... To put it nicely, it's to protect children; to put it bluntly, the government wants to control public opinion. A ban is the easiest way to handle things.

Nah, the difficulty of this law enforcement is really incredible. Even if kids climb over a wall and use a VPN, they can still bypass it.

Haha, the difficulty of law enforcement in this area will probably give Malaysia a headache as well. Who can really check a child's fake age?

Haha, Malaysia is also going to ban minors from using social media. It sounds good, but can it really be enforced? Parental supervision is key, right?

This method is probably just to scare people... By 2026, it will still be VPN To da moon.

This move in Malaysia is a bit harsh, but can it really be controlled? VPNs can be installed easily.

Can you really keep kids outside? I doubt it, this trick in Malaysia probably won't work either.

Can we really find such detailed violation accounts? I think it still relies on the awareness of parents, as laws are easy to write but difficult to enforce.

Ha, yet another country is starting to ban kids from using social media. Isn’t this just the government’s old trick? It must be so complicated to enforce—wallet addresses can be faked, let alone identity verification... I bet five gas fees that this thing won’t last even three months before falling apart.
