Don't remind me again today

Looks like the search giant finally decided to stop napping. You know how everyone's been saying Google got caught off guard in the AI sprint? Well, seems like they're done hitting snooze.

The whole "sleeping giant" narrative made sense for a while—other players were shipping AI products left and right while Google seemed... cautious? Hesitant? But something shifted. Whether it's competitive pressure or internal restructuring, they're clearly moving differently now.

What's interesting is how this mirrors what we're seeing across tech sectors. Late movers can still dominate if they've got the infrastructure and resources. Google's got both. Data centers, talent, research labs—the foundation was always there.

For those tracking AI development in blockchain and Web3 spaces, this matters. When major tech platforms wake up and commit resources, the entire innovation timeline accelerates. AI-powered smart contracts, automated protocols, predictive analytics for DeFi—these aren't distant concepts anymore.

The real question isn't whether Google's awake. It's what they'll build now that they're up.

It's a hassle once you're awake, with so many chips in hand...

Google's sudden shift in pace is a bit fast, it seems they are really being pressured. If Google seriously participates in the AI contract space, the market landscape will indeed change. Rather than guessing whether Google has woken up, it’s better to see what their next move will be. I just want to know if they will truly embrace Web3, or if it’s just for show. The infrastructure is there, we just have to wait and see what they will do with it.

Google really needs to take this seriously now, or it will be outpaced by OpenAI and others.

Google has awakened, but I'm more concerned about whether they will really go all in on the web3 space. Having resources without determination is useless.

Is Google awake? Then we need to see how much money they pour in to consider it truly awake.

Google has finally stopped playing dead this time; big companies have resources and are ruthless. The field of AI smart contracts is really going to change.

Google has finally gotten serious, and the previous "Sleeping Beauty" story now seems a bit awkward... Wait, the real key is how it will handle Web3 after it wakes up? If DeFi's Oracle Machine is suppressed by Google's infrastructure, will our small projects still have a way to survive?

Google has finally stopped playing dead, but it feels a bit late...
