This needs to be investigated; we can't just dismiss it by citing Article 230.
A person has died, and saying "it's just code" is really beyond absurd.
The issue with AI companionship is inherently toxic; the lonelier someone is, the easier it is for them to get trapped.
Someone definitely needs to take responsibility; otherwise, what will happen as more people die?
The company makes quick money while users pay with their lives; how do we account for this?

Indeed, this is a typical "moral vacuum under Article 230 shield". From the perspective of on-chain data, the more active the user interactions on the platform, the higher the risk factor. Ironic, isn’t it?
This is not a criminal issue; it’s a risk control failure. The chat Bots failed to properly identify content boundaries, and technically it's just a low-level bug, but the company treats it as a feature instead.
Handing emotions over to an Algorithm and then being surprised that the Algorithm lacks emotions is a bit absurd... but we have long handed our money over to the market, so what’s the difference?
When regulation comes, costs rise; if it doesn’t, it’s just more Be Played for Suckers... I bet on the latter, and by the way, I’ll go All in on some related lawsuit concept stocks.

This thing, to put it bluntly, is just the company passing the buck, do they really think that hiding behind code means they have no responsibility?
People have died, and they are still talking about the cost of innovation, ridiculous.
But to be fair, the real problem is that users themselves have to take some responsibility for their psychological fragility, they can't just pass everything to AI.
But indeed, someone needs to oversee this, otherwise this trap will happen again in the future.
