Source: BlockMedia Original Title: Upbit, Sequential Resumption of Digital Asset Deposits and Withdrawals… “New Deposit Address Issuance Requested” Original Link: Upbit announced that as it sequentially resumes digital asset deposits and withdrawals that had been suspended, users must obtain a new deposit address.
Upbit has responded to the recent cyber breach incident by improving security vulnerabilities and conducting a comprehensive inspection of the wallet system. As a result, all existing wallet ( deposit addresses ) are being replaced with new wallets.
To send digital assets from an external wallet such as a personal wallet to Upbit, you must first obtain your deposit wallet address for each type of digital asset from Upbit. Users can select the digital asset they wish to deposit on the Upbit deposit and withdrawal page and then generate a new deposit address.
Upbit stated, “Deposits to the existing address may be delayed, so please make sure to issue a new deposit address and then make the deposit.”
He added, “Please be careful to delete your personal wallet or the existing Upbit deposit address registered at other exchanges to avoid future mistaken transfers( and wrong deposits).”
