With the Christmas holidays approaching and the year-end Settlement period, traders are shrinking their positions, which is directly reflected in the implied Volatility – the data for BTC and ETH has all fallen by more than 5%, with the mid to short-term fall exceeding 10%.

To put it plainly, the market is expected to maintain a low volatility pace in the next two weeks. Retail investors may be scared by this calmness and wonder if the market is about to turn. However, from a technical perspective, this is more of a seasonal phenomenon—this happens almost every year at this time, as institutions and large holders complete their settlements before the end of the year, and market liquidity naturally decreases.

When the era name is reversed, the real fluctuation will return. What we need to do now is to wait patiently and not be deceived by this false calm.
