Meta Acquires Singaporean AI Startup Manus

On December 30, according to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms Inc. has agreed to acquire Manus, an artificial intelligence startup based in Singapore, in a deal whose value was not disclosed. Manus primarily provides AI agents to enterprises through subscription services and had an annualized revenue run rate of $125 million earlier this year.
The acquisition will help Meta strengthen its AI business positioning and bring more direct returns to its large-scale AI investments. Meta CEO Zuckerberg has identified artificial intelligence as the company's top strategic priority, investing billions of dollars in hiring researchers, building data centers, and developing new models.
