The on-chain stock tokenization sector continues to heat up. According to data, the total market value of related assets has surpassed $1.2 billion, with two significant growth periods in September and December. This indicates that tokenized equity is rapidly moving from a small-scale exploration phase to large-scale commercial use.

In this wave of growth, the main driver in September was Backed Finance's xStocks product launching on the Ethereum mainnet. The platform listed approximately 60 stock tokens in a short period and distributed them through multiple mainstream exchanges, significantly lowering the barrier for ordinary users to participate in on-chain stock trading. This move marks a shift from a playground for geeks and institutional investors to a financial tool aimed at a broader user base.

Market response shows that the momentum in December was equally strong. This demonstrates that investors remain optimistic about compliant and convenient on-chain equity assets, and the sector's popularity has not waned but is steadily consolidating. With more projects and platforms entering the space, tokenized equity is expected to become the next major sector in Web3 finance.

Wait, can xStocks really beat traditional brokers? I think that's still too optimistic...

1.2 billion USD breakthrough, this time it's really substantial, not just hype Backed Finance's move is actually quite clever, directly lowering the threshold so retail investors can also get on board Two consecutive rounds of growth indicate it's not just a flash in the pan, there is indeed market demand Wait, are compliant on-chain stocks really useful? I'm still a bit skeptical Launching 60 stock tokens all at once, could there be a lot of fluff involved? If it really takes off, traditional finance folks should be panicking, right?

60 stock tokens launched, can ordinary people finally join the game? But honestly, has the threshold really been lowered?

1.2 billion USD, but it still feels like the hype isn't enough. Tokenized stocks, to put it simply, is about bringing traditional finance onto the blockchain. The Backed move is indeed quite interesting. But is it reliable? Have they really sorted out the compliance issues? Wait, 60 stocks tokens are already available so quickly? Could this be another new way to trap retail investors? What can two rounds of growth really prove? The real test is still ahead. Can ordinary people play with this kind of thing, or will it once again become a game for institutions?
