Recently, a founder of a leading cryptocurrency exchange proposed a thought-provoking idea at an industry conference: within the next 24 months, the cryptocurrency space will experience a fundamental wealth transfer. The key is not the price movement of tokens, but the changing identities of participants.

According to this logic, the next wave of large-scale crypto users will likely not be retail investors or institutional investors, but thousands of AI Agents. These intelligent agents will autonomously execute trades, arbitrage, settle payments, and even establish independent business entities. It’s easy to imagine that in the future financial world, human investors will gradually shift from the main role to the background.

However, behind this optimistic vision lies a difficult problem that the industry has not fully addressed—the decision-making process of AI is a black box. When AI controls the flow of funds but lacks traceable audit records, the risk of losing control is greatly amplified. If the system malfunctions, the entire chain could collapse in an instant.

For this reason, some teams are working from the ground up to solve this problem. By introducing on-chain verification mechanisms and real-time auditing systems, every transaction decision made by AI can be recorded and traced. For example, using zero-knowledge proof technology to ensure immutability, or optimizing verification processes to significantly reduce the costs and delays of high-frequency trading. This way, the AI financial ecosystem can enjoy the benefits of automation while maintaining sufficient transparency and security.

From a broader perspective, whoever can first improve this foundational infrastructure will hold the power to define new rules. In this wealth transfer, infrastructure builders may have opportunities comparable to application layer participants.

Ha, AI Agents trading? I feel like it's just the eve of another wave of new retail investors being harvested. The risk of black box models should have been taken seriously long ago. Back when I was involved in the liquidity mining of Compound, I almost got liquidated because of this. Infrastructure is the real gold and silver; the old mice clubs have seen through this long ago.

AI Agent taking over finance? Sounds just like those guys before 2008 bragging, and in the end, it’s still about saving the market. Black-box decision-making controlling funds—what’s the difference from handing money to gamblers? When risks explode, who takes the blame? Infrastructure is the biggest winner. The logic is clear—just worried it’s another PPT wealth creation.

It's the same old story... AI takeover, wealth transfer, future finance... I've heard it too many times. Every time, they say the next 24 months will bring a change, but what happens? The people are still the same, and the money is still the same. The risks of black boxes are correctly pointed out, but do you really think adding an audit chain can solve it? History has shown me that no matter how advanced the technology, it can't stop human greed. Don't be fooled by the stories about infrastructure; in the end, there will still be people harvesting profits from others. Let's wait for the rebound.

AI Agent is taking over retail investors, I believe in this move, but the risks of black box models really need to be taken seriously.

AI agent the scapegoat? Laugh out loud. In the end, isn't it just the big players' algorithms bullying the small investors' algorithms?

AI Agent taking over trading? Honestly, this logic sounds pretty scary. Black-box decision-making controlling funds feels like paving the red carpet for systemic risk. Infrastructure is the key, and that's right. But who can truly achieve complete transparency and traceability now? It still seems mostly theoretical.
