The managing partner of a well-known crypto investment firm, Haseeb Qureshi, recently made a bold prediction for next year.

He believes that tech giants like Google, Meta, and Apple are very likely to launch their own crypto wallets in 2026 or directly acquire existing wallet projects. If this happens, what does it mean? It could mean that billions of new users might flood into the crypto world. Imagine opening your iPhone or Google account one day and being able to manage crypto assets directly—how low would that barrier be?

This wave of adoption is not just limited to tech giants. Qureshi also predicts that more Fortune 100 companies will build their own blockchain networks by 2026, with banks and fintech companies leading the way. It seems that traditional giants are indeed becoming more interested in blockchain technology.

However, there is a counterpoint. He also issues a warning—that L1 blockchains launched by fintech companies have little chance of success. Why? Because Ethereum and Solana have already laid the foundation. New entrants will find it very difficult to compete with them. This also implies a reality: not all blockchain projects will survive, and market concentration will continue to increase.

Prediction again, 2026 is still early... But about Google developing a wallet, to be honest, I only half believe it, mainly depends on whether they are willing to make that commitment. ETH and SOL have already won, new projects are really difficult, isn't this the reality? Opening crypto management directly on iPhone? Sounds great, but whether it will truly be implemented without issues remains to be seen, depends on execution.

Big company's entrance into wallets... sounds great, but I'm scared. If Apple really launches its own chain, I'll be the first to run away.

Big companies entering the wallet scene... To put it nicely, it's a positive development; to be blunt, it might be about cutting into new retail investors, haha. Wait, can Solana and ETH really hold back these giants? I feel like their entry might actually be a blow to them... It's 2026 again... Predictors really dare to say that. Let's see if we’re still around to witness it.

Big companies entering the wallet space—it's true but not that simple. Do Apple and Google really dare to make moves? Let's see if they can get past the regulatory hurdle first.
