Crypto venture capital firm Dragonfly's managing partner Haseeb Qureshi recently shared his outlook on the crypto market in 2026 on social media, with a particular focus on the stablecoin sector. He predicts that the stablecoin market size will grow by approximately 60% by 2026, and USDT's market share may decline from around 60% to 55%.

Why is this forecast worth paying attention to? Just look at the current data. As of mid-June 2025, the total global market capitalization of stablecoins has surpassed $238.1 billion, representing an increase of over 1100% in five years. This explosive growth itself demonstrates how attractive stablecoins are.

Haseeb Qureshi's logic is very clear: stablecoins are not just trading tools; they are becoming a true bridge connecting traditional finance and the crypto world. Especially in emerging markets, the demand for stablecoins as a means of payment continues to rise. As more merchants, financial institutions, and tech companies launch stablecoin-based payment solutions, the use cases in this sector will only become more diverse.

The core driver of market expansion is actually very simple: continuous expansion of payment channels and ongoing development of new payment tracks. From small merchants to large institutions, from online to offline, the application space for stablecoins is rapidly broadening. According to forecasts, this trend will accelerate even further by 2026.
