$50,000 principal yields $270,000 profit? Unveiling the BTC trading strategies of top on-chain addresses

【Block Rhythm】 There’s an interesting trading address that has recently gone viral. Since January this year, this trader used a $50,000 principal to earn $272,000, with 82 completed trades, and both monthly and cumulative win rates exceeding 80%. This week, they achieved zero drawdown and a 100% win rate. The data is right there—there’s definitely something to it.

What is this address doing now? Holding a BTC short position with 20x leverage, an average entry price around $89,300, with unrealized gains already at 44%. In the past hour, about 100 buy orders have been densely placed, with the price range lowered to between $80,000 and $87,000, waiting for BTC to drop to $86,383 before closing the short and switching to long. Meanwhile, the 100 sell orders placed in the $90,200–$94,200 range have already been filled 4 times.

This trader’s style is quite particular—using a pyramid-style hedge grid strategy. Simply put, it involves layering buy and sell orders within a set price range, then gradually building positions and taking profits in a pyramid manner, repeatedly earning from oscillating price differences. This isn’t about betting on a one-sided trend but about riding waves repeatedly.

Interestingly, another well-known trader in the circle, Paul Wei, uses a similar approach, but he’s more conservative, using only 2x leverage. The two have reached a consensus at the trigger zone for short positions. Paul Wei’s current BTC long position has an unrealized loss of about 3.2%, with holdings accounting for 9% of his total funds. Most of his remaining capital is waiting on orders for opportunities. His long and short order trigger zones have been adjusted to between $84,600 and $90,200. Since November 16, this trader has accumulated a profit of $3,100.

Looking at both of their strategies, the common point is that they try to capture every penny of BTC’s price swings—no greed, no gambling, just capturing the spread. This strategy is especially effective in ranging markets, with key factors being execution and risk control.

270,000? I always feel like there's something behind this... An 80% win rate sounds great, but is trading really this smooth in real environments?

5x return? Buddy, are you lucky or do you really have some skills? Let's wait and see how it crashes later.

Damn, using 5x leverage to make 270,000? What kind of quick hands is that? I’ve been looking for a while and still don’t understand how this grid strategy works.

5x leverage turns into 27x? Is this guy really ruthless, or is it just another survivor bias story...

Wow, this guy is really ruthless. Turning 50,000 into 270,000? I feel like that's a bit unbelievable... --- Playing leverage grid like this, either he's a genius or he's crazy. No middle ground, haha. --- Wait, why is the 86,383 level so precise? Could it really be that strong of a market sense? --- 100 buy orders, 100 sell orders. How bored must he be, or is it done by robots? --- An 80% win rate sounds great, but with 20x leverage, a margin call could happen instantly. Aren't you afraid? --- I'm not joking. Seeing pyramid hedging, you know this guy really puts in effort, but I'm still hesitant. --- A paper profit of 44%, but the real question is when can I cash out and secure the gains.
