#数字资产市场动态 Every time the market starts moving, I remind myself of one thing — don’t be greedy. When $ETH is rising, it’s easiest to fall into this trap, always thinking there’s more to gain. The result is often profit taking, or even losses.

After several cycles, my approach has changed: take profits when the gains are good. Whether it’s Ethereum or other tokens in the Ethereum ecosystem, once there’s a decent increase, I gradually lock in the profits. This doesn’t mean completely clearing out, but securing the gains.

Everyone knows the volatility of the crypto market. No one wants to experience the pain of being trapped at a high level. Instead of betting on the next wave of market movement, it’s better to preserve what you’ve already gained. Steady compound growth is the true long-term way to make money.

Well said. I was just greedy for those few points of increase, and I ended up giving back the money I had already earned.

Greed kills. Last time when $ETH surged, I wanted to gamble again, but ended up trapped for two months. I've learned my lesson. Knowing when to take profits is really not wrong, but on the other hand, who can really tell where the top is? I understand the feeling of being trapped at a high level. It's more reliable to lock in profits and be steady, rather than constantly watching the market and stressing out.

Another day of being taught by the market, very true, greed is really poison. Always wanting to make another profit, but ending up losing more, this is my blood and tears story. I've heard "take profits when you see the good" many times, but how many can truly do it? I am the opposite example myself. Rebirth from the ashes, I must first admit that I am a greedy ghost. I'm just afraid, afraid that once I lock in profits, ETH will soar to the sky, and the regret... never mind, think less. Alright, let's take it slow, those who endure the cycle will eventually win.

According to research, this "take profits when things look good" strategy essentially involves prospect theory in behavioral finance—it's worth noting that most retail investors tend to make reverse mistakes due to loss aversion. Data shows that during ETH's multiple bull markets, those who held their positions consistently achieved higher returns than those who frequently took profits, but the risks were indeed more intense. Overall, this confuses two different concepts.

Greed harms people. I couldn't resist this time, and now I'm stuck and completely trapped.
