【Crypto World】Ethereum’s technical upgrade roadmap has new developments. Following the previous upgrade phase, the development team is now focusing on two major projects—the Glamsterdam upgrade expected in 2026 and the subsequent Hegota upgrade.
Glamsterdam has two highlights this time. First, it introduces a block-level access list, allowing transactions to be processed in parallel, which directly reduces network costs and increases throughput. Second, it advances the separation mechanism between proposers and builders (ePBS), further optimizing block production efficiency.
However, an important feature has been postponed—Fork Choice Inclusion List (FOCIL). This feature was originally intended to strengthen anti-censorship mechanisms by empowering validators to counteract the centralization trend in block builder markets. Currently, FOCIL has been delayed to be included in the Hegota upgrade, but the specific release date for Hegota has not been set. This adjustment is likely aimed at ensuring technological stability and sufficient testing cycles.

If you had bought silver 4 weeks ago, you would have surpassed the profitability of the one who held $ETH for 4 years 😁

Coming in 2026? I think this anti-censorship feature will keep getting delayed, haha.

Still squeezing the toothpaste, FOCIL delays Hegota. I have no idea when Hegota will be released.

Alright, it's another story of "plans can't keep up with changes." FOCIL has been pushed to the back, and the anti-censorship feature is still nowhere in sight. I've seen this routine many times.

Wait, the anti-censorship feature was moved to the back? That’s really upsetting, it feels like the priority has been changed.

Still waiting, FOCIL is such an important thing, why is it still being delayed...
Ethereum upgrade roadmap revealed: Glamsterdam launches in 2026, when will the FOCIL anti-censorship feature be released?
