Decentralized crypto trading platform Lighter had an incident on December 30th. It happened to be the day its native token LIT officially launched, and users reported issues with withdrawals—the system kept showing an error message "L2 withdrawal too many." External analysis suggests that the blockchain network's processing capacity at the time may have been insufficient, leading to transaction congestion.

The design purpose of the LIT token is to build a bridge between traditional finance and DeFi. Its first day performance was quite good, with the price reaching as high as $4.04, but the good times didn't last long. It then started to plunge, dropping over 30%, and is currently trading stably around $2.77. This incident highlights how important the stability of exchange infrastructure is during the launch of new tokens. Whether the platform can operate stably during high traffic periods directly affects user confidence and token performance.

mempool was absolutely screaming that day... watched the gwei patterns spike like a fever dream, typical l2 congestion theater when everyone panic dumps at once ngl

It's the same old trick, crashing immediately after launch. Lighter really underperformed this time; they opened for business before the infrastructure was ready.

Haha, this is the classic launch failure scene. Luckily, I didn't go all-in when it was at $4.

Same old story, performs poorly right after launch. Infrastructure can't keep up, yet they still dare to release tokens—no wonder the market crashes.

It's the same old story, crashing right after launch. This time it's Lighter's turn. LIT dropped from $4 to $2.77, hilarious, didn't even last 30 seconds. Infrastructure can't keep up but still dares to issue tokens. That's why I never touch new tokens on new platforms. If there's congestion, so be it. The key is how shattered users' mentality must be at that moment. Feels like it's always like this—paralyzed during peak times, fixed during lows. It's a bit ridiculous. So, when choosing an exchange, you have to consider stability; otherwise, you'll get wrecked really fast.

It's the same old crypto scam again, crashing right after launch! --- LIT just surged to $4, but then got cut in half, I can't stop laughing. --- Rushing to launch without proper infrastructure, are you serious? --- Withdrawal delays are really next level, I just want to ask who still dares to trust? --- Fell from $4 to $2.77, those who entered late are out of luck haha. --- Lighter's move was basically a suicide launch, can the servers be tested first? --- It's the usual network congestion excuse, honestly it's just a design flaw. --- LIT token died on its first day of launch, how can it be played from here? --- Look at this move, launching a new coin and giving investors a hard lesson, the price paid is really high. --- Wow, a 30% plunge like a roller coaster, who can handle that?
