Bitcoin asset management company MicroStrategy resumed BTC purchases last week after a one-week pause, increasing its dollar reserves to US$ 2.2 billion.
The company, founded by Michael Saylor, acquired an additional 1,229 Bitcoins last week, spending US$ 10.88 million, with an average price of US$ 88,568 per Bitcoin, details announced on Monday morning.
This move increased MicroStrategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 672,497 coins, with a total investment of US$ 5.044 billion, and an average purchase price of US$ 74,997 per coin.
The purchase was financed by the sale of US$ 10.88 million in Class A common stock.
MSTR stock fell 1% pre-market on Monday to US$ 157 per share, while Bitcoin dropped to approximately US$ 87,000 during the same period.
