On December 31, the privacy computing project Zama Protocol officially launched on the Ethereum mainnet and completed its first FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption)-based privacy stablecoin cUSDT transfer. This is the first confidential ERC-20 transfer implemented on Ethereum L1, with a single transaction cost of approximately $0.13. The solution achieves on-chain privacy transfers of any token through "asset encapsulation," allowing transaction amounts and wallet balances to remain confidential on the chain, marking FHE's transition from theory to real production environment. This milestone could lay the foundation for the privacy narrative in 2026.
