Whale clears $48.6 million worth of BTC and ETH in half an hour, then turns around to buy the dip with 20x leverage

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】A whale made a big move within half an hour on January 19th. This “counterparty strategy” big player (address 0x94d3…) directly started to liquidate, reducing long positions in BTC and ETH by over 299.5 BTC and 7361.7 ETH, totaling approximately $48.6 million. After the operation was completed, the account’s long positions were basically cleared, and the total contract assets shrank to about $8.6 million.

Interestingly, this big player also experienced a loss earlier in the morning. They collectively closed long positions on BTC, ETH, and other mainstream coins, resulting in a loss of over $15.3 million.

But the story didn’t end there. After closing the positions, this whale turned around and leveraged 20x to start bottom-fishing BTC and ETH. Suddenly, this new position expanded to $53 million, taking up a large portion of the account. From stop-loss to aggressive long positions, the speed of the switch was fast, and the operational logic was quite clear — it seems to be a choice between high risk and high reward.

15.3 million loss and still dare to go all-in with 20x leverage, this mentality is truly fearless

This whale's mentality is really strong. After losing 15.3 million, they still dare to use 20x leverage to buy the dip. Are they really a gambler or do they genuinely believe in the future? Feels like this move carries quite a bit of risk.

Losing 15.3 million and still daring to leverage 20 times is indeed a strong mental resilience. However, from the perspective of computing power profit ratio, going all-in on the eve of difficulty adjustment is a bit risky. Rationally speaking, the real strategic opportunity should be to build positions gradually rather than going all in at once. I place more emphasis on the long-term investment return cycle and risk hedging capability.

This whale's mental resilience is really strong. After losing 15.3 million, they still dare to use 20x leverage to buy the dip. Is this gambler's mentality or have they truly seen through the bottom? It seems like the risk and reward are completely mismatched—one correction and liquidation happens.
