On March 27th, the Walrus mainnet was officially launched, marking a substantial breakthrough in the decentralized storage field.

Currently, over 100 independent storage nodes are participating in network operation, and user experience has become quite complete. You can upload and retrieve blob data, as well as build and browse decentralized websites — this is no longer just a concept. Through staking and unstaking operations of the $WAL token, community members directly participate in the election and decision-making of committee members. This governance model truly decentralizes power into the hands of token holders.

From a technical perspective, Walrus's design philosophy targets real-world application scenarios: high availability ensures data is accessible at any time, high fault tolerance guarantees network stability, and low-cost storage makes large-scale applications possible. More importantly, this system supports on-chain verification and composability, meaning other applications can directly build on Walrus, forming an ecosystem collaboration.

This solution is genuinely aimed at applications with serious storage needs, rather than just hype projects. From node distribution and data availability to governance participation, every aspect reflects a rigorous approach to decentralization.

Wow, Walrus is finally officially launched. This time it doesn't feel like just a hype concept; over 100 nodes are running... It looks pretty solid. They are really serious about this. The staking election mechanism actually gives power to retail investors, but whether it can truly decentralize remains to be seen. Low-cost storage + composability—this setup seems to be aiming for real work, not just a project to cut leeks. With nodes spread out like that, data availability is guaranteed, and the technical framework doesn't look overly complicated... pretty impressive. Wait, if this really runs stably, and the ecosystem can develop further, the storage sector might turn the tide? By the way, what's the current price of $WAL? Has anyone already started staking? Over 100 independent nodes have begun, which isn't a huge scale, but it depends on how many real users can be attracted later. I've always felt that decentralized storage has been hyped for years. Whether Walrus can go far this time is still uncertain. But this design approach is definitely more pragmatic. It's better than projects that disappear right after launch.

Wow, finally it's not just talk on paper. Walrus really works. Over 100 nodes is okay, but the key is how long it can last. Another storage project, this time are they serious? Staking WAL to elect a committee? It still depends on whether the community is active enough. Can it be combined? Will other projects follow suit? Is now the time to jump in for a bargain or to take over... Low-cost storage sounds too good to be true. Is it technically stable? Decentralized storage hasn't truly taken off in this space yet.

Wow, finally not a PPT project. Running over 100 nodes really shows some substance.

But to be honest, projects often hype themselves up at launch, but the key is whether users will actually use it afterward.

Storage track finally has some real substance, not just paper innovation --- walrus really went all out this time, daring to launch the mainnet with just over 100 nodes --- Low-cost storage... this is what major applications truly need, all those flashy things before should step aside --- I like this staking governance system, much better than those fake democracies --- The composability aspect is outstanding; ecosystem collaboration is the true future --- Decentralized storage has gone from hype to reality, walrus is the first to deliver without fluff --- Daring to launch the mainnet with just over 100 nodes? Quite brave --- This is what I call practical application orientation, stop with those projects that only know how to leech --- Finally, someone has solved the storage problem in a decent way

It looks like another storage project aiming to change the world, with over 100 nodes... Is it truly decentralized or just the same old story? But I have to admit, allowing users to govern themselves is much more honest than most projects. The composability aspect is quite interesting. If the ecosystem can really take off, that would be great. Wait, low-cost storage? How much cheaper is it compared to traditional solutions? Are there any benchmark data? What do people who have actually used it say?
