tbh the institutional adoption narrative is arguably just path dependency dressed up in fancy language... but sure, let's pretend the incentive structures around btc holdings are non-trivial enough to justify portfolio allocation. historical precedent suggests this particular game theoretical setup favors the early movers, but nobody's really asking about the externalities lol
