【BlockBeats】The well-known American fast-food chain Steak’n Shake has recently issued two major signals in succession.
First, last week they announced that they have invested 10 million USD heavily in Bitcoin, officially adding BTC to the company’s balance sheet. This is not just a hype, but a real asset allocation.
Then, they announced that starting from March 1st, employees will have a new option in their compensation package — they can receive 0.21 USD worth of Bitcoin per hour. This BTC can only be withdrawn after two years.
An old fast-food company established for over 100 years is playing with Bitcoin salaries, which is rare among traditional companies. From asset-side to payroll-side, the dual deployment of crypto assets reflects, to some extent, the increasing recognition of Bitcoin’s value by institutions.

Damn, century-old companies are starting to pay salaries in BTC. Are they trying to outcompete other companies?

ok so according to my preliminary regression analysis of fast food chains entering bitcoin (n=1, p-value absolutely cooked), we're witnessing statistically significant levels of institutional cope... or based-ness, still running the numbers on that one tbh

Wait, employees have to wait two years to withdraw? Isn't that essentially locking the funds? That's pretty harsh.

Now even the old-fashioned burger joints are no longer content with just selling burgers, directly adopting BTC salaries—truly quite aggressive.
