The World Economic Forum made waves recently with a bold take: globalization is finished. Meanwhile, they're betting big on US growth in the coming years.

But here's the thing—plenty of people aren't buying it. The narrative doesn't land cleanly when you look at capital flows, trade patterns, and how interconnected markets actually operate. Some argue we're seeing fragmentation, sure, but others point out that reshoring and regional trade blocs still depend on global supply chains.

It's that classic case where the headline oversimplifies the reality. Economic trends rarely move in straight lines, and betting your entire thesis on "the end of globalization" might miss what's actually happening underneath.

Is globalization over? Well, the WEF's recent stance is a bit presumptuous. To put it nicely, it's really just trying to set the tone. Capital flows and trade data are right there; where has it really broken... instead, it's becoming more entangled. These clickbait headlines are the most annoying; the reality is far more complex than the word "end."

Is globalization doomed? Wake up, this is just the WEF spreading anxiety again... Those supply chain lines are still all tangled together.

Is globalization doomed? Wake up, the supply chain still has to operate globally.
