AI world is no longer limited to just chatbots; the era of AI Agents has begun. These are smart programs that not only answer questions but also perform tasks for you.
I am keeping an eye on some projects that will change the way we work in the future:
1. AutoGPT and BabyAGI
These are the projects that introduced the concept of "Autonomous Agents." Their special feature is that you give them just a "Goal," and they think through the steps and execute them themselves.
Why is this important? They can conduct research independently and write code.
2. Microsoft AutoGen
Microsoft’s framework allows different AI agents to (collaborate) with each other. Imagine one agent as a coder, another as a manager, and a third as a tester—together, they can complete an entire project.
3. CrewAI
This is quite trending these days. The goal of CrewAI is to create "Role-playing" agents that work exactly like a real team. It’s excellent for creating marketing plans and analyzing complex data.
4. Rabbit R1 and Humane AI Pin
In the hardware world, these agents operate your phone’s apps on your behalf. You don’t need to open the app; just speaking is enough.
What Do AI Agents Actually Do?
Self-Planning: Breaking down tasks into smaller parts.
Web Browsing: Gathering fresh information from the internet.
Tool Usage: Using tools like Excel, Email, and Calendar independently.
In My Opinion...
The next big revolution will come from LAMS (Large Action Models), moving beyond LLMs (Large Language Models). The time is not far when your personal AI agent will be booking your flights and scheduling your meetings.
