The statement said that in the test conducted on the same day, the US launched a 'Standard-3 Block 2A' missile using the 'Aegis' missile defense system equipped with the new AN/TPY-6 radar and vertical launch system, intercepting an air-launched medium-range ballistic missile near the coast of Anderson Air Force Base in Guam.
