Tether has just announced a strategic investment in Shiga Digital, a startup providing blockchain-based financial solutions in Africa such as virtual accounts, OTC trading, treasury management, and foreign exchange.
This is the next step in Tether's expansion strategy in Africa, following previous collaborations with the exchange Quidax and the cross-border payment company MANSA.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the goal is to support African businesses in accessing global liquidity and blockchain financial infrastructure based on USDT.
