Iran's Foreign Minister: The U.S. must compensate for the losses from the conflict before nuclear negotiations can resume.
Jin10 Data July 31 - As Tehran's stance hardens, Iran has proposed new conditions for restarting nuclear negotiations with the Trump administration. Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif stated that the U.S. must compensate Iran for the damages incurred during last month's conflict between Israel and Iran. After enduring 12 days of ongoing conflict with Israel, Iran will not agree to resume negotiations "as if nothing happened." Although the U.S. was in contact with Iran at the time, it had briefly intervened in the conflict. Zarif pointed out, "They must explain why they attacked us during the negotiations and guarantee that such incidents will not occur in the future. Furthermore, they must compensate us for the damages caused." "The road to negotiations is narrow, but not impossible. I need to convince the Iranian leadership that if we negotiate, the other side will come with genuine determination to reach a win-win agreement."
