#XRP# On August 5, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on Monday that it will allow trading of spot Crypto Assets contracts listed on futures exchanges registered with the agency. Under Trump's push, the U.S. digital asset industry has made progress, with legislation such as the Genius Act and the Clarity Act providing more regulatory certainty. CFTC acting chair Caroline Pham stated that the commission will coordinate with the SEC's "Project Crypto" to achieve instant trading of digital assets at the federal level. The CFTC invited stakeholders to discuss how to list spot Crypto Assets contracts in designated markets. SEC chair Gary Gensler outlined several initiatives to support cryptocurrencies last week, including guidance for staff to determine when Crypto Tokens qualify as securities, as well as various disclosure and exemption proposals. The actions of these two regulatory agencies mark a significant victory for the Crypto industry.
