On Qixi, the Moments feed starts to turn into an exhibition of showing off love again. But I'm not worried at all, because I've long learned to manage my own romance.

I went to watch a midnight movie alone, and most of the audience in the theater were couples. I held a bucket of popcorn and laughed louder than they did. After the movie ended, I walked alone on the street and bought a bouquet of my favorite sunflowers. No one sent them to me, but so what? Giving flowers to myself, isn't that a better understanding of my own feelings?
I went home and brewed a cup of rose tea, lit some incense, opened a book, and flipped through the pages, feeling grounded in my heart instead. Qixi is not "romantic only with a partner"; living a rich and flavorful life alone is the true romance.
This year's Qixi is dedicated to myself: thank you for walking through the storms and still smiling sincerely, and may you love yourself more than anyone else.
