The Magpie Bridge Immortal
Song Qin Guan
The delicate clouds play tricks, the flying stars convey resentment, the silver river stretches quietly.
When the golden wind and jade dew meet, it surpasses countless encounters in the human world.
Tender as water, a beautiful time like a dream, reluctant to look back at the return path of the magpie bridge.
If love can last for a long time, why would it matter whether it's day or night!
This poem is a representative work of the Northern Song Dynasty poet Qin Guan. In the poem, the mythological story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl is used to express the author's admiration and yearning for unwavering and eternal love.

Silver candles in the cool autumn light paint the screen, clear sky on a tranquil night by the quiet pavilion. Spider silk spans the embroidered needle, dragon musk burns in the golden tripod. Celebrating the beautiful occasion of Qixi in the human world. Lying down, I watch the Cowherd and Weaver Girl stars, as the moon turns past the shadows of the parasol trees.
Silver candles reflect the cool autumn light on the painted screen, the clear sky and quiet night at the leisure pavilion. Spider silk passes through the embroidery needle, dragon musk burns in the golden censer. Celebrating the beautiful festival of Qixi on earth. Lying down to watch the Cowherd and Weaver Girl stars, the moon turns past the shadow of the parasol tree.
