The Highly Anticipated Date for the Leading Altcoin Ethereum Has Been Announced - Coin Bulletin
The main developers of the Ethereum network have agreed on a common date for the highly anticipated Dencun update.
According to a statement made by Tim Beiko from the Ethereum Foundation team, the Dencun update is planned to be made in slot 8626176 **. This is expected to coincide with approximately 16:55 on March 13 Turkish time.
The Dencun update will bring the proto-danksharding feature to the Ethereum network as part of the EIP-4844 project. In this way, it is aimed to increase the data capacity of the blocks without changing the processing time of the blocks on the Ethereum network.
It is thought that this could be especially useful for Layer 2 networks such as zkSync, Optimism, and Arbitrum due to its impact on data storage criteria.
So far, Ethereum developers have conducted tests on the Goerli, Sepolia, and Holesky networks for the Dencun update.
