Gate Futures Points Rules Upgrade Announcement: TradFi Trading Volume Now Included

To further diversify users' channels for earning points and enhance participation in multi-asset trading, Gate will implement a significant upgrade to the "Futures Points" statistical rules. Effective from 00:00 on February 9, 2026 (UTC), the trading volume of Gate TradFi products and TradFi account balances will be officially included in the Futures Points statistical scope.
This upgrade aims to integrate the crypto futures and TradFi trading systems, allowing users to simultaneously accumulate Futures Points while participating in the global traditional financial markets, thereby obtaining long-term platform benefits and incentives.

I. Explanation of Core Rule Changes

Old Rules

• Futures Points were only counted for Perpetual Futures trading volume
• Perpetual Futures trading volume was counted at 100% of its full amount

New Rules
Futures Points now count:

• Perpetual Futures trading volume
• TradFi trading volume
• TradFi account balance

Where:

• TradFi trading volume is counted into the effective trading volume at a fixed conversion rate.
• TradFi account balance will be included in the Futures Points balance statistics

II. TradFi Trading Volume Conversion Rules (Key Points)

• Current TradFi Conversion Rate: 20%
• Calculation Formula: TradFi Original Trading Volume × 20% = Effective Trading Volume for Futures Points

Example: If a user has a trading volume of 10,000 USDx in TradFi products on a given day:

• It will NOT be counted as 10,000 for points.
• The effective trading volume counted as: 2,000 USDT (10,000 × 20%)

This effective trading volume will be combined with Perpetual Futures trading volume for calculating Futures Points.

III. Futures Points Earning Rules (Based on Trading Volume)

After converting to effective trading volume, the points distribution rules remain unchanged from the original mechanism:

• Basic Threshold: Effective trading volume ≥ 400 USDT earns 1 point
• Advanced Rule: Thereafter, for each doubling of the effective trading volume, an additional 1 point is earned.

The converted TradFi trading volume can be aggregated with Perpetual Futures trading volume for calculation.
Example: The user's TradFi trading volume of 10,000 USDx is converted to: 2,000 USDT (10,000 × 20%) + Futures Trading Volume

IV. Explanation of Including TradFi Account Balance in Futures Points Statistics (New)

Starting from this rule upgrade, the available balance in users' TradFi accounts will be simultaneously included in the Futures Points balance statistics system.

• TradFi balances and Perpetual Futures account balances are uniformly included in the Futures Points balance statistics.
• The effective balance will be used for the corresponding points calculation and benefit determination.
• Specific balance points rules and coefficients remain consistent with existing Futures Points balance rules.

This adjustment will further enhance the long-term points earnings and participation value for TradFi users on the platform.

V. Important Notes

• TradFi trading volume is limited to TradFi products already supported on Gate.
• The conversion rate may be dynamically adjusted based on market conditions and operational strategies. Any subsequent changes will be announced separately.
• All activities, benefits, and usage rules related to Futures Points are subject to the platform's latest rules.
• For a more complete TradFi trading volume and balance points statistics experience, it is recommended to update the Gate App to version V8.8.0 or above. Web users do not require any additional operations.
