How to cultivate children to become confident people? There are two things we can truly do: The first is to remember: confidence comes from ability, not praise. Simply telling children "You are great" or "You are excellent" will not truly make them feel outstanding. What truly builds confidence is a sense of competence, helping them develop skills. The second is: help children understand their own feelings and learn to read their surroundings. When they can perceive "How am I feeling right now" and "Is my judgment of the environment accurate," they will start to trust themselves. And trusting oneself is an important part of confidence.
