Good News from Telegram to Its Users! 50 More Altcoins Including XRP and Ethereum Will Be Added!
Built on the TON*** blockchain, Telegram's own custodial wallet Wallet expands access to cryptocurrencies for its more than 100 million users.
The Open Platform (TOP) has announced plans to expand Telegram wallet Wallet's crypto custody services to include more than 50 new altcoins.
Accordingly, Wallet will support the trading of more than 50 new altcoins, including XRP, and offer yield programs for users.
The wallet previously allowed trading of several cryptocurrencies such as *TON, Bitcoin (BTC), and USDT.
This new upgrade will take effect in two months and will give more than 100 million Telegram users access to a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
Although the list of tokens is not fully finalized, it is stated that the list will include popular altcoins such as Ethereum, (ETH), XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE) and PEPE.
Wallet users will also be offered a "Earn" feature that will allow them to earn yields on assets, including Tether (USDT).
In the first phase, new altcoins will only be allowed to be bought, sold and stored in the wallet. This means that users will not be allowed to move non-TON altcoins outside of their custodial wallets.
