Starknet completes the stake migration: staking is back online, and Bitcoin staking functionality will be introduced by the end of the year.
On June 17, Starknet announced that the stake migration has been completed, the staking operation has been resumed, and the proof-of-block and commission adjustment functions are now live on the mainnet. The upgrade improves the economics of STRK staking and brings greater transparency to validator behavior: allowing delegators to evaluate and compare validator activity and reliability before participating in the Starknet consensus in the future (with the goal of EOY).
The implementation of version 2 is an important step for Starknet towards complete decentralization. Version 3 may be launched by the end of the year, introducing Bitcoin staking functionality to Starknet.
