The 7 Best Virtual Reality Movies You Should Experience Now

Oh my goodness! I have been immersed in the world of virtual reality for weeks and I must confess that I am completely hooked. The way these movies transport you to other worlds... it's just amazing! I'm telling you this from my own experience because reading about it is one thing, but feeling it firsthand is something completely different.

Virtual reality is not just a passing trend; it is a complete revolution in how we consume entertainment. When I put on my VR glasses, I stop being a mere spectator and become an active part of the story. It's as if the walls of my small apartment disappear and suddenly I am in Pandora or trapped in the Matrix.

Here I share with you my 7 favorite movies that I have tried in VR, and believe me, some have left my heart racing:

Avatar What an amazing experience to live Pandora in first person! Although, let's be honest, this movie is basically anti-mining propaganda disguised as a space adventure. I found myself torn between admiring the beauty of the alien world and questioning the overly simplistic message about natural resources.

The Matrix This movie blew my mind in VR. Feeling like you're inside that simulation... God! It's ironic that we use technology to watch a movie that warns about the dangers of technology. Sometimes I wonder if we ourselves are not falling into a kind of modern Matrix with so much digital immersion.

Inception Watching this movie in VR is like living a dream within a dream within... well, you know. Sometimes the narrative is so confusing that you end up dizzy, but maybe that's precisely the point. It makes you question your own perception of reality.

The Conjuring 2 (Enfield Experience 360) NEVER EVER see this alone! I almost threw my glasses on the ground when I felt something move behind me. It's terrifying to a level that should be illegal. The immersion in horror is too real.

The Martian Exploring Mars in first person is fascinating, although the story glorifies the "American ingenuity" a bit too much for my taste. I found myself wondering how much they would have spent on this movie compared to what we actually invest in space exploration.

Zootopia It's surprisingly fun in VR. Being able to look around that colorful world is magical, although the movie oversimplifies complex themes like racism and discrimination.

Life of Pi Being "trapped" in that boat with a Bengal tiger... what an experience! Although the spiritual message felt a bit forced, the visual beauty is undeniable.

Not all of these movies work with the same glasses, and that's the annoying part. You need different devices depending on the movie you want to watch. Some are on one platform, others on YouTube VR... It's a mess and quite expensive if you want to access all the content.

Virtual reality is transforming the way we watch movies, but it is also distancing us from real human contact. Will we soon prefer these virtual worlds to our own reality? I can't help but wonder as I take off my glasses and return to my room, which suddenly seems too ordinary.
