CoinVoice has learned that, according to Bloomberg, the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) has passed a proposal aiming to prohibit the "multi-jurisdictional issuance" of stablecoins, which refers to stablecoins issued simultaneously in the EU and other jurisdictions. This proposal is led by the European Central Bank (ECB). Although the recommendation is not legally binding, it will put pressure on national regulatory authorities to implement relevant restrictions or explain how to ensure financial stability without adopting the ban.
